BBC report from recently released papers showing how shocked the PM was in 1978 about the UK's ability to defend itself against the soviet threat
(Perhaps he should have remembered that the brutual cuts in the 60's he helped introduce, should really have looked at beefing up defences rather than just culling them !!!!!)
